These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BlurBaby ("BlurBaby," "we," "us") at https://blurbaby.app and related apps. By using BlurBaby you agree to these Terms.
1. What BlurBaby is
BlurBaby helps you permanently cover faces in photos and short videos on your own device before you share them. Processing is designed to happen locally. Paid plans change how many exports you can complete; they do not change the on-device privacy model.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is lower, and able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. BlurBaby is a tool for adults protecting the privacy of the people in their photos; it is not intended for use by children. If you use BlurBaby on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. Your content and responsibility
- You keep ownership of the media you open in BlurBaby. You are responsible for having the rights to edit and share that media.
- You are responsible for how you use exports (including posts to social networks) and for complying with applicable laws and platform rules.
- BlurBaby does not claim ownership of your photos or videos. Because media is processed on-device, we do not receive a copy through the normal product flow.
4. Accounts
Some features (for example syncing paid credits) require an account. You must provide an accurate email address and keep access to it secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
5. Free allowance, credits, and subscriptions
- BlurBaby may offer a limited free allowance (for example one photo and one video export). Limits can change; the product UI shows the current offer.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases applied to your account. Unless stated otherwise at purchase, credits do not expire.
- Subscriptions renew until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account page (Stripe billing portal) or, for purchases made in a mobile app, in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
- Prices are shown at checkout in euro (EUR) and may include taxes depending on your location.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- Subscriptions. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a new subscription. Contact us within 14 days of the initial purchase for a refund of that payment. Renewal payments are not refundable once a new period has started, but you can cancel at any time to prevent further renewals.
- Credit packs. Credits are digital content delivered immediately. At purchase you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that your 14-day withdrawal right ends once delivery begins. Unused credits may still be refunded at our discretion within 14 days; spent credits are not refundable.
- Purchases made in a mobile app. Apple and Google process those payments, and their refund policies apply. Request refunds through the store that sold you the item.
- If a refund is issued, the corresponding credits or subscription access are removed from your account.
- Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law. Contact support for any billing issue and we will resolve it promptly. A short copy of this section lives at blurbaby.app/refund.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to upload malware or disrupt the service
- Abuse free allowances, payment systems, or APIs
- Reverse engineer the service except where allowed by law
- Use BlurBaby to violate others' rights or applicable criminal law
- Misrepresent BlurBaby's privacy guarantees
8. Cover styles and results
Every cover style we offer (Blur, Redact, Pixelate, Mosaic, Sticker, and Pattern) is designed to be irreversible: the face is erased first and a synthetic cover is painted in its place, so the original face pixels do not reach the export. Blur is the default. Detection can still miss a face, and results depend on your device and the input media. Always review the export before sharing. You are responsible for how you use that export.
9. Intellectual property
The BlurBaby name, branding, software, and site content (excluding your media) are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the service as provided.
10. Third-party services
BlurBaby relies on third parties for hosting, authentication, and payments. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. App store terms apply to mobile purchases made through those stores.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
BlurBaby is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that detection will find every face or that an export will meet every legal or platform requirement for your use case.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlurBaby and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your media, your use of exports, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
14. Termination
You may stop using BlurBaby at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or abuse the service. Sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date will change, and continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Croatia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
